Dear Friends,
As the leader of the West Ohio General Conference delegation, I invite you to pray for our delegation and the work of this year's General Conference. Your prayers will make a difference! Bruce Boyd and I have recently returned from Tampa, FL where we attended the Pre-General Conference News Briefing. Together, we will prepare the rest of our delegation to engage in the holy conferencing for which you have elected us. Leaders cannot lead without having a rigorous prayer life and having a community of people praying with them.
I Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to pray without ceasing. A rhythm of constant prayer allows us to see the vision God has for us and the world. Being a delegate to General Conference is an honor. It also comes with great responsibility. Knowing others are praying for us will encourage us to prepare and serve with integrity. |

The Upper Room has created 50 Days of Prayer Before & During General Conference 2012 so that congregations around the world can pray for the delegates and the decisions they will be making. The resource begins on March 15 and continues through General Conference. To download a free copy of this resource, go to http://www.upperroom.org/news/25.
Consider organizing prayer groups in your congregation. Keep your delegation members in prayer. Pray for all delegates who will engage in holy conferencing that will create new possibilities for our denomination. We cannot do it without you!
