Habitat for Humanity at Enon UMC and worldwide

Lin has been a member of Enon UMC for over 27 years. Twelve of those Lin Tranter years she has been the church secretary (7 yrs) and the administrative assistant (5 yrs and counting) with a 15 year break between. Lin is a member of PAUMCS - the Professional Association of United Methodist Church Secretaries (Ohio chapter & National). She says position descriptions vary but wherever she works her job is to do whatever she can “administratively” to give other staff members more time to do what only they can do.

She is active as a 1st & 2nd grade Sunday School teacher, a member of the United Methodist Women, a certified lay speaker and a member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry and the church prayer chain. One of her passions is Bible studies and she has facilitated both the Disciple series and Companions in Christ studies at Enon UMC.

Lin has been married to Bill since February1970. They have 2 daughters, 2 sons-in-law and 3 grandchildren. According to Lin, all are close to perfect, especially the grandchildren. She loves to read and knit, unfortunately she can’t do both at the same time. If you want to see her eyes light up, give her yarn, soft colorful yarn for a prayer shawl or a baby sweater or a “Knit for Kids” sweater or ... but not socks! Chocolate works too.
